This time Jerzy and Mark go into the nuts and bolts of creating a web comic (at least how we did it, by no means is this a definitive exploration). Topics covered include: What type of comics work best on the net?, marketing your comic on the web, building a community, hosting and design options and a bunch more. Hold on, ’cause this one is huge!

Hosting: itsyourdomain.com, webcomicsnation.com, comicgenesis.com. powweb.com

HTML Editors: Smultron, BB Edit, Text Edit, CSS Edit

Community/Audience Building: Project Wonderful, Stumbleupon, del.icio.us, Comicspace, The Web Comics List, Online Comics.net, Facebook, Myspace, Deviant Art.

Alright… Now get to it!

Interestingly enough, Tim Fischer’s Amateur Hour covered the same topic this week (episode 13). Check it out for another take on the subject!

This was an amazingly informative podcast episode!!! I’m saving this one to look back on when I’m ready to create my own page. Thanks again both of you for sharing your experiences and pitfalls etc,…so that others can learn from them and also make our own educated decisions along the way.

I’m really glad you enjoyed it, Todd. We tried to cover as much as we could (Mark even had to take a rest room break, we went so long!), and I have a feeling we’ll get back to this subject again.
