Art & Story 46 – The Big Commentary: Switch Runners

Mark and I indulge ourselves this week with an audio commentary track for our latest collaboration, Switch Runners. We do our best to walk through the process we went through to create the comic from the ground up, and do a bit of a reveal about an experimental technique we used.

  1. As far as changing formats, I enjoy how in-depth you get on current topics, but it might be interesting if you did multi-topic shows every once in a while (once a month, maybe). Have the best of both worlds.

I thought it was cool that you were giving shout outs to all the 80’s animation creators that inspired you. I got a chance to work w/ Bob Forward on an animation property a couple years ago, and he’s incredibly fun to work with and I learned a lot from him.

Thanks for listening and for the input, Gerimi! It’s food for thought–I suppose we could do a monthly “potpourri” episode while keeping up with the original format.

And you have no idea how much I envy your working with Mr. Forward on a project. I’m hoping that I can eventually get him on the show. I’d love to pick his brain about character and plot development.

And hey, there are some really great-looking comics on your site! Any other A&S listeners should check it out: http://optichouse.com/
